Shopify broken link checker

Find 404 links and dead images hiding in your product descriptions. Enter your store address and get a health score in about a minute. No install, no login.

Why broken links hurt a Shopify store

Products get archived, collections get renamed and handles change. Links inside product descriptions, such as size guides, care pages and related products, keep pointing at the old address and land shoppers on a 404 page. Shoppers leave, and search engines see a store that is not looked after.

What this checker looks at

  • Links in product descriptions that return 404 or other errors
  • Images in descriptions that no longer load
  • Product images missing alt text

The free scan covers up to 50 products and checks only public pages, the same ones any visitor can see. It never changes your store.

How to fix a broken link in Shopify

  1. Open the product in your Shopify admin.
  2. In the description, click the broken link and update it, or remove it.
  3. If a page moved, add a URL redirect under Online Store, Navigation, View URL redirects.
  4. Run the scan again to confirm your score went up.
